The safety level of the device cabinet lock according to the invention is better than in previous device cabinet locks. The device cabinet lock (1 ) comprises a turning latch (2), which is connected to a turning axis (3). The latch and turning axis are arranged to turn from a locking position to an open position and vice versa. The turning axis (3) is connected to a lock cylinder (4), which is arranged to transfer force caused by the turning of a key to the turning axis (3) in order to turn it and the latch (2). The device cabinet lock (1 ) also comprises a deadlocking means (5), which is arranged to prevent the turning axis (3) and latch (2) from being turned into the open position in the deadlocking position of the deadlocking means (5). Additionally, the compartment box lock device cabinet lock (1 ) compares a control means (6A, 6B) for the deadlocking means (5), to control the deadlocking means from the deadlocking position to the release position.
