Una composición que comprende: un sustrato que comprende partículas de óxido metálico, teniendo el sustrato un recubrimiento sobre el mismo que incluye un polihidroxiácido como dispersante orgánico, en donde el dispersante orgánico está presente en una cantidad que hace que el sustrato recubierto sea autodispersable en un medio orgánico, caracterizada por que dicho recubrimiento es una solución que contiene ácido polihidroxiesteárico (PHSA) como dispersante orgánico y dicha cantidad de dispersante orgánico que hace que las partículas recubiertas sean autodispersables es 1 % en peso calculado con respecto a las partículas de óxido metálico.

The substrate has a coating thereon that includes an organic dispersant present in a amount that renders the substrate self-dispersible. Also disclosed is a composition, such as a cosmetic composition, that includes that self-dispersible coated substrate, and a process that includes coating a particulate metal oxide with an organic dispersant to render the metal oxide self dispersible.
