Hydrostatic drive system has a load which is provided with pressure limiting device (11a,11b). The pressure limiting device and feeder device (12a,12b) are integrated in valve unit (10a,10b). The valve unit is formed as a combined pressure limiting and feeder valve. For increasing the reaction pressure, the valve unit stays in active contact with piston unit (20a,20b).
