Ceramic material comprises combination of ionic dopants including a monovalent ion of lithium, silver and/or potassium, and a trivalent ion of lanthanum, iron, yttrium, ytterbium and/or aluminum. Independent claims are included for: (1) an actuator device and/or piezoelectric sensor comprising a sensing element and/or a variable component made from the ceramic material; (2) an adjustment element comprising a piezoelectric actuator comprising a variable component made from the ceramic material; (3) manufacturing the ceramic material for an actuator device and/or piezoelectric sensor, comprising doping a material based on at least bismuth titanate-sodium-barium-strontium with combination of ionic compounds comprising a monovalent ion, lithium, silver and/or potassium ion and a trivalent lanthanum, iron, yttrium, ytterbium and/or aluminum; (4) manufacturing an actuator device and/or piezoelectric sensor, comprising forming a sensing element and/or a variable element from the ceramic material, or by preparing the ceramic material; and (5) manufacturing a control element, comprising forming a variable element of the piezoelectric actuator of the control element from the ceramic material, or by preparing the ceramic material.
