The invention relates in particular to a module (2; 7) for creating a temporary spiral staircase for a building site (1), said module (2; 7) comprising a central post (3) of essentially vertical axis (Z) and two or three steps (20) extending radially, in horizontal planes, from said central post (3) to which the steps (20) are secured by a radially inner end. The module is noteworthy in that said steps (20) are secured to a single string (4) in the form of an essentially parallelepipedal plate which is parallel to the axis (Z) of the central post (3) and secured to the outer edge of the steps (20) and of which the long sides (41) are at least partially inclined with respect to the axis (Z) of the central post (3) and with respect to the horizontal planes of the steps (20), the string (4) having an upper end (43) and a lower end (44), and in that said upper (43) and lower (44) ends each respectively comprise one of two attachment elements (45; 46) of which one is designed to removably attach to a vertical upright (5, 8) and the other, arranged as a hook with a downward-oriented concave portion, is designed to removably attach to a horizontal crosspiece (6) of a scaffolding structure.
