La présente invention concerne un système de verrouillage de sécurité du type comportant un barillet (3) pourvu d'une série de pistons (8) aptes à être positionnés par des moyens élastiques sur l'empreinte formée dans le chant (7b, 7c) d'une clef de commande (7) perpendiculairement au sens d'introduction de ladite clef (7) dans le barillet (3), ces pistons (8) étant aptes à occuper deux positions à savoir une position rétractée à l'intérieur du barillet (3) lorsque la clef (7) est introduite dans ce dernier et une position sortie lorsque la clef (7) est extraite de celui-ci. Ce système est caractérisé en ce que : - le barillet est constitué d'un bloc de verrouillage (3) de forme parallélépipédique apte à être reçu dans un bloc récepteur (5), - il comporte des moyens de verrouillage qui sont activés lorsque le bloc de verrouillage (3) est introduit dans le bloc récepteur (5).
