The present invention relates to a material such as (Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 )(1-x) – (BaTiO3 ) x, referred to as "NBT-BT", wherein x is higher than 0 and up to 0.08, said material comprising a core and a surface, the core comprising a mean atomic proportion of the following present elements relative to the total composition of the material: sodium: less than 10 %, preferably 6 to 8 %; bismuth: 5 to 10 %, preferably 8 to 10%; barium: less than 1 %, preferably 0.05 to 0.2 %; and titanium: 15 to 25 %, preferably 16 to 19 %. The present invention likewise relates to method for preparing such a material and to the uses thereof in particular as dielectric material.
