L’invention concerne un procédé d’ouverture d’un volet mobile, du type susceptible d’être déplacé selon une trajectoire prédéfinie, entre une position fermée et une position ouverte, par des moyens de déplacement motorisés et actionnables par au moins une commande, le volet comportant des moyens de verrouillage conçus pour immobiliser le volet en position fermée, le volet comportant des moyens de détection d’obstacles conçus pour détecter des obstacles susceptibles d’être situés sur la trajectoire prédéfinie, le procédé comprenant une étape de détection (ET1), consécutive à une action (AC) par un utilisateur sur une commande, consistant à mettre en œuvre les moyens de détection d’obstacles pour détecter un obstacle susceptible de se trouver sur la trajectoire, le procédé comportant en outre une étape de désactivation (ET2) consistant à désactiver les moyens de verrouillage pour rendre possible le déplacement du volet, l’étape de détection (ET1) et l’étape de déverrouillage (ET2) étant initiées simultanément.
