Bassin autoportant L’invention concerne un bassin autoportant (10) comportant des moyens d'accès pour la faune, les moyens d'accès pour la faune comprenant un premier escalier (50) menant vers le haut à l'extérieur du bassin (10), et un second escalier (70) menant vers le bas à l'intérieur du bassin (10), une zone de passage (60, 62) étant prévue reliant les parties supérieures des premier et second escaliers (50, 70), la profondeur des marches du second escalier (70) étant sensiblement plus grande que les profondeurs des marches du premier escalier (50), et le premier escalier (50) comprenant des moyens d’agrippement sur au moins certaines des marches. A free-standing pond (10) is provided to allow access to the pond by wildlife, the pond comprising a first staircase (50) leading up the outside of the pond, and a second staircase (70) leading down the inside of the pond, wherein a crossing area (60, 62) is provided joining the top of the first and second staircases, and wherein the depth of the treads (72) of the second staircase are substantially greater than the depths of the treads (52) of the first staircase, and wherein at least some of the treads (52) of the first staircase are arranged to be grippable, in use, by wildlife such as frogs.
