Ground pile
A ground pile suitable for forming a ground foundation 10 for supporting a structure 18. The ground pile features an elongate threaded pile member 12 which is screwed into the ground 20 and has a hollow interior section 26. It further features a structural load-bearing insert 14 which has an elongate main section 54 arranged to be inserted into and secured within the hollow interior section 26. There is also provided an insert coupling 56 at the upper end of the main section 54 to which a structure 18 can be coupled. Optionally, the threaded pile member 12 reduces in diameter along its length. Optionally, the elongate main section 54 of the insert 14 is coextensive with the hollow interior section 26 over the majority or substantially all the length of the hollow interior section 26.
