Plumbing connector having non-return valve
The connector 200 has an inlet connector 205, a chamber having an open upper chamber 262 and a lower closable chamber 282, and an outlet connector 220 formed in the floor 285 of the lower chamber. The inlet connector is supported above the upper chamber by one or more arms 255, and the lower chamber is closable by a non-return valve that opens at a pre-selected pressure. The valve is formed from a resilient material which is biased to a closed position, and may be a diaphragm check valve 290 or duck bill valve (395, Fig.6). A tubular middle chamber 277 may be positioned between the upper and lower chambers, and the pre-selected pressure may be no more than the pressure from a volume of liquid filling the tubular middle chamber.
