A foldable ladder with at least two legs 201, 202 and one step 204, comprising a crown 203 where one end of each leg is attached to the crown. At least one leg is attached to the top so that it rotates with respect to the crown and at least one step is attached to at least one leg so that it can turn from a position in line with the leg to a position perpendicular to the leg. The rungs are removable from at least one rail. The steps may swivel into a leg in the closed storage position and are then stowed in a nested arrangement within each other (605, Fig. 6). The legs preferably have feet which may be adjustable in length (103, Fig. 10). The rung and leg arrangement preferably features a safety lock to prevent accidental detachment of the steps.
