An accommodation suite comprises a first interior volume 113, a second interior volume 153 and a partition 160 between the two. The first volume has a floor 120 which comprises a portion 122 that is movable into a void 165 below a section 163 of the partition, allowing the suite to be configured for transportation. The floor may be foldable allowing the suite to be converted from a deployed state to a stowed state. The first volume may be a bedroom whilst the second volume may be a bathroom. Also claimed are an arrangement for use in a room, a room for use in a mobile accommodation system, a temporary stairway, a portable stairway and an accommodation system comprising a plurality of suites, each having a bedroom and being convertible between stowed and deployed states, where the suites have a smaller volume when in the stowed state.
