Preferably the handle is made from polypropylene and the antibacterial agent contains silver ions and is present at an amount of 0.5% to 15% by weight of the plastic. The handle is preferably formed by injection molding, as a solid body, without fixing holes or any coating. The method of producing the handle requires mixing the plastic and antimicrobial agent together, heating it until it melts, placing it in a mould and allowing it to cool.
