An anchor comprising a threaded barrel 200 with a tapered internal cavity; a threaded end cap 320 for screw engagement with the barrel; and at least two clamp wedges 302, 304 which form a frusto-conical body with a passage for a reinforcement member 100. The clamp wedges are located in the barrel cavity and the threaded cap is rotatable along the threaded barrel such that the cap transmits force (B) to the widest end of the wedges to urge the clamp wedges into engagement with the barrel cavity walls, thereby urging the clamp wedges towards one another (A) and clamping the reinforcement member. The barrel cavity may be tapered the same as the frusto-conical body. The clamp wedges may be biased towards each other by a resilient band 312 or O-ring located in a groove provided towards one end of the clamp wedges. The passage may have teeth (316, Fig. 7) extending radially inwardly to improve engagement with the reinforcement member. The anchor may be double ended with a common cap for linking two reinforcement members (Fig. 12).
