A panel lock assembly for a removable panel, such as a false wall, fitted to a panel support structure, the panel lock assembly having a lock body 110 for mounting in a through aperture of a panel 14, a lock cap 130 secured, e.g. threaded, to the lock body to form a housing within which is retained an axially slidable lock member 150, such as a bolt/screw, which is movable from a first position in which the lock bolt 150 extends from the housing and protrudes into an aperture in framework 20 and a second position in which the bolt is retracted from the framework 20. Preferably the locking bolt 150 includes an annular flange (154) which abuts with internal shoulders (119, 139) of the lock body and cap to limit the axial movement of the bolt 150. The lock body and cap may include washers providing resistance to sliding of the lock bolt/screw. Preferably the lock bolt is threadingly engaged with an internal thread of lock body; the lock member including a recess on its head for engagement with a driving tool. The panel lock prevents removal of a sliding false wall.
