Construction equipment and methods (locator)
The building services locator unit includes a body adapted to be attached to a surface of a building and portions which hold at least three elongate building services ducts/pipes 18, 30, 34, 36 in a spaced relationship within the unit. The ducts could relate to electric cabling, gas pipes or other conduits for fluids, liquids. The locator unit has position reference points, such as pins on the body, spaced apart on the body. The locator may include a frame 4 and may allow adjustment of the holding parts. The adjustment may include a part cylindrical guide for abutment and attachment to a building service duct or pipe. The body may include a block structure having recesses to accommodate the elongate building services, and can have a clamp to hold the services. A method of constructing a services unit comprises fixing the unit utilising the position reference points spaced on the body, and attaching three or more ducts or pipes to the holding means.
