Deployment system
A resource such as a surface covering track comprised of interconnected panels which are capable of being wound on a spool 32 may be deployed, recovered and/or stored using apparatus comprising a rigid container (10 fig. 3) such as an ISO freight container having at least a base, a pair of opposing end walls and an open side or an opening in a side wall and a mounting member 34 on the base between the end walls on which mounting member 34 the spool 32 can be mounted for rotation about its longitudinal axis. One or more hinged or sliding doors (12 fig. 3) may be mounted to close the opening. A hydraulic drive system (22 fig. 4) may be provided for rotating the spool 32. A conduit (38 fig. 5A) may feed water from a pressurized supply to apertures (40 fig. 5A) to form jets of water for cleaning the track or the spool 32. The floor of the container may comprise apertures or a mesh for drainage of water.
