An eaves trough hanger device comprising a plinth 2 and a trough hanger 1, the hanger comprising an arm 3 with a base 4 at a first end and a trough catch at a second opposed end, and an incremental adjustment mechanism for vertical adjustment of the trough hanger. The trough is positioned above the arm. The base connects to the plinth, and the plinth is secured to eaves. The vertical adjustment mechanism may be a screwthread mechanism comprising a vertical screw threaded bolt 15 or a horizontal screw thread gear, located below the trough or gutter. The mechanism preferably comprises catch studs on the hanger and plural slots for engagement on the plinth.
