Mounting arrangement
The mounting arrangement 26 comprises a bracket having a first part having a closed channel for receiving a side batten 24, a closure member 28 defining part of the closed channel, and a second part 50 engagable against a roof batten, the second part being mountable to the roof batten at a location spaced from its end. The second part may have guide formations 56 for receiving the roof batten, and holes 52 for receiving nails 20, and which align with holes 30 in the closure member. The closure member may be pivotally mounted to the bracket via a hinge or fold 40. The bracket may be plastic or metal. Also claimed is a method of mounting items on the edge of a roof, comprising locating the mounting arrangement on the end of a roof batten then arranging a side batten in the closed channel. The bracket may have a hole 38 through which nails pass to mount a dry verge unit to the side batten.
