A packing element for a panel
The packing element 20, for supporting a panel (102,Fig.7) within a frame (104,Fig.7), has a base 25, a plurality of engagement members 5 projecting from the base, and attachment elements for attaching the packing element to at least one outer edge of the panel, such that the engagement members protrude outwardly from an outer edge of the panel. Some of the engagement members may be deformable, and the packing element may have first 22 and second 24 parts that each include engagement members. The second part may be inclined so that the packing element can be mounted to different edges of a panel, and the parts may be connected by a hinge 1. The engagement members may be cylindrical projections. Discrete formations 5 and additional projections 4 may also be provided. Also disclosed is a packing system including multiple packing elements, and a panel assembly.
