Time locked box
A time-locked container 20 comprising a storage compartment 22 and a lid 21, attachable to the storage compartment, and a lock 23 and a timer which when activated the lock cannot be unlocked until the timer reaches a predetermined time interval and adjustment of the time interval is physically prevented when the lid is locked to the storage compartment. The lock mechanism and the timer may be located within the lid and may have means for adjusting a time delay until release, or a release date, which are accessible only when the box is in an unlocked state. The box may further include a display for showing information relating to an unlock date. There may be an internal battery pack and the lock may be driven by an electric motor. The box may typically be a money box. There may be an software application, for example on a mobile phone or other mobile device which can alert the user when the timer has expired.
