A security door hinge assembly
A security door hinge assembly (200 fig 5) comprises a door frame structure (106 figure 1) with at least a head member and first and second jamb members (112, 114 figure 1). The assembly door leaf has a leaf frame structure of a top rail member, a bottom rail member, a hinge stile member 116 and a lock stile member, an inner leaf panel 118 extends past the hinge stile member so as to form an inner leaf flange 220 and an outer leaf panel 120 which extends past the hinge stile member so as to form an outer leaf flange 208. The assembly further comprises at least one body panel, mounted to the first jamb member 112 which extends past the jamb member so as to form a body panel flange 206. A hinge-mount bracket 202, is coupled to the first jamb member so as to form an open hinge chamber in conjunction with the body panel flange between the first jamb member and the hinge stile. A hinge mechanism 210 is located within the open hinge chamber and pivotally mounts the door leaf to the hinge-mount bracket. Wherein, in a closed position, the outer leaf flange 208 is in overlapping engagement with the body panel flange 206 and the inner leaf flange 220 is in overlapping engagement with at least a portion of the hinge mount bracket 202, so as to prevent access to the hinge mechanism.

A security door hinge assembly (200 fig 5) comprises a door frame structure (106 figure 1) with at least a head member and first and second jamb members (112, 114 figure 1). The assembly door leaf has a leaf frame structure of a top rail member, a bottom rail member, a hinge stile member 116 and a lock stile member, an inner leaf panel 118 extends past the hinge stile member so as to form an inner leaf flange 220 and an outer leaf panel 120 which extends past the hinge stile member so as to form an outer leaf flange 208. The assembly further comprises at least one body panel, mounted to the first jamb member 112 which extends past the jamb member so as to form a body panel flange 206. A hinge-mount bracket 202, is coupled to the first jamb member so as to form an open hinge chamber in conjunction with the body panel flange between the first jamb member and the hinge stile. A hinge mechanism 210 is located within the open hinge chamber and pivotally mounts the door leaf to the hinge-mount bracket. Wherein, in a closed position, the outer leaf flange 208 is in overlapping engagement with the body panel flange 206 and the inner leaf flange 220 is in overlapping engagement with at least a portion of the hinge mount bracket 202, so as to prevent access to the hinge mechanism.
