A misting apparatus and method of use
There is disclosed a misting apparatus (10) for producing a mist from a pressurized liquid, comprising: a fan shaft (134) having a rotational axis (104); a rotary jet assembly (130) configured to drive the fan shaft (134) and comprising a radially extending arm (136) configured to convey the pressurized liquid to a jet nozzle (138), wherein the jet nozzle (138) is configured to eject the pressurized liquid in a jet to generate a jet reaction force having a tangential component; a fan 140 coupled to the fan shaft (134) for driving an airflow; and a spray nozzle (152) configured to eject the pressurized liquid into the airflow to produce a mist.
