Roller blind
A locking mechanism for a roller blind assembly (10, fig.1) end bar 24, the mechanism comprising a pair of spaced guide rails 26 and a slide member 36 mounted at either end of the draw bar 24 for engaging their respective rail. Each sliding member comprises a locking formation 36B for rotational engagement with the guide rails, movable between locked and unlocked positions through rotation of the end bar about its longitudinal axis. The sliding member is able to slide along its respective guide rail when in the unlocked position (see fig.5), and secured by frictional engagement with the guide rail in the locked position (see fig.6). The slide member may comprise a first (36A) and second (36B) head for respectively engaging the rail, where the second head may comprise a cam profile 35. A winding reel mechanism (16, fig.1) may urge a web 12a,12b attached to the draw bar toward a stowed position, in turn urging the sliding member to rotate into a locked position. Also claimed is a roller blind assembly and a vehicle comprising the roller blind assembly. The vehicle may be a construction vehicle, and the blind may be used to screen a vehicle sunroof.
