Soil erosion prevention method and implement therefor
An implement for reducing soil erosion is disclosed which is arranged to cut a plurality of channels in a soil surface in use. The implement comprises a frame connectable to an agricultural vehicle, and supporting a shaft extending from a first side of the frame to a second side of the frame at a height above the ground and having a mid-point between the first side and the second side, the shaft having at least two outwardly extending blades each adapted to cut a channel in the soil comprising a first outwardly projecting screw flight and a second outwardly projecting screw flight, wherein the first screw flight extends around an outer surface of the shaft from a first location on a first side of the mid-point of the shaft towards the first side of the frame and the second screw flight extends around the outer surface of the cylinder from a second location on a second side of the mid-point of the cylinder towards the second side of the frame. Also disclosed is a method of reducing soil erosion comprising cutting a plurality of spaced apart channels into a consolidated soil surface, the channels extending across tram lines of compressed soil formed by an agricultural vehicle.

Also disclosed is a method of reducing soil erosion comprising cutting a plurality of spaced apart channels into a consolidated soil surface, the channels extending across tram lines of compressed soil formed by an agricultural vehicle.
