Window, stile and cover bar
The window has a pair of hinged casements 50, 52 having respective stiles 54a, 54b which are juxtaposed when the window is closed. Each stile is hollow and has a first face 58 providing a glazing channel 59 for mounting a glazing unit 60, a second face opposite the first, an interior face and an exterior face. One stile has an exterior weather seal (85, Fig. 4) on its second face arranged to seal against second face of the other stile when the window is closed. One stile has a hollow cover bar or astragal 102 extending along it to cover a line between the two stiles when the window is closed, the bar having a weather seal 134 to seal against the interior face of the other stile. There may be a coupling member (111, Fig. 5) for securing the cover bar to a stile. Also claimed is the cover bar, which may have other uses (see Figs. 6 and 7), and a stile.
