The building arrangement comprises a column within a surrounding living space. The column provides a hub such that external services may be routed through the column, the external services comprising one or more of electricity, gas, sewage and data. One or more movable modules are attachable to the hub and may be moved to change the arrangement of the living space. The modules may be moved while maintain attachment to the hub and external services. The column may be circular and the movement is via rotation around the column. The building may include a central rotating joint inside the column and a rotating arm for each movable module where each arm is attached to the joint.
