Lock component for a double door fastener
A lock component for a double door handle fastener having a body 42 and a support tab, wherein the body comprises a first arm and a second arm (52 54 Fig 2) connected to each other such that an opening (60) is defined between them to receive the stems of two door handles. The support tab is connected to the body such that a recess (132 Fig 4) is defined between the body and the support tab. In use two components are used such that the body of the first component engages with the recess on the second component and vice versa. Each of the components may have fastener holes (82) which allows a fastener to be used to secure the two components together in the overlapping arrangement creating a fixed slot in which the handle stems are located. Even though the handles can be rotated, the door wings cannot be opened thus preventing, for example, accidental opening on a building site.
