Lock assemblies
A lock system for securing an openable unit to a frame is provided. The system includes a lock assembly including a first elongate faceplate arrangement 4 for fixing to the edge of the openable unit, and a strike or keep assembly including a second elongate faceplate arrangement for fixing to the frame, wherein the system includes a tab (90 Fig 1) movably mounted, preferably rotatably mounted via a pivot 92 on the first 4 or second faceplate arrangement and including an opening 94 for receiving a fastener for securing the tab to the edge of the openable unit or to the frame. The tab preferably extends beyond the side or the end of the faceplate. Also claimed is the faceplate with the moveable tab mounted on it. The lock is preferably for a multipoint locking system.
