Temporary Flooring
The flooring system has a first plank 100 with a first coupling portion (110, Fig 1) and a second plank 200 with a second coupling portion (220, Fig. 2) which co-operates with the first portion in use to restrict relative movement of the planks in two perpendicular axes X and Y, wherein the coupling portions include an alignment feature 330 having a first alignment portion 310, preferable a discrete protrusion 119 located in an elongate channel (110a Fig. 3) of the first coupling portion, and corresponding second alignment portion 320, preferably a complementary notch 219 located in a elongate hook portion of the second coupling portion, wherein the notch and protrusion interact to prevent relative sliding movement of adjacent planks in a third perpendicular axis Z. The protrusion 119 may be integrally formed within the channel or a separate piece located within the channel, such as a nut and bolt (700 Fig. 7). Several adjacent extruded aluminum planks may be connected to create flooring panels which can be used of pedestrian or vehicle access at outdoor events.
