An elongate profile member
An elongate profile member of a frame or sash of a door or window has a protruding locating and retaining means 2. The locating and retaining means comprises a projection that is trapezoidal in cross-section, having a base located on an aperture-facing surface of the profile member. An upper side of the projection is distal from the base and two side portions taper from the upper side to the base. A packing means 20 has a planar support surface and a receiving means and is operably engaged with the locating and retaining means. The receiving means comprises two opposing prongs that are forcible over the upper side of the projection and are resiliently biased towards the side portions of the projection, such as by snap-fit. The retaining and locating means is suitable for retaining two or more different functional elements. The packing means is preferably used for a glazing panel.
