The base may be a split base 14a,14b formed of two complementary shaped sections that each include an opening or cut-out such that when the two sections are placed in abutment, form a mating pair which defines an aperture 16 through which an underground asset can be received. The chamber may have ribs 22 on the outer surface. The chamber system 10 may have a RFID tag for audit purposes or tracking. The access chamber may be manufactured by supplying polymer into moulding tools.
