The structural component may comprise a domed joining portion 35 that joins and closes an area between the mounting sections. A fixing may be provided through the joining portion for securing the structural component to a ridge beam. The structural component may be metal and formed in a single piece. Also claimed is a foam gasket comprising at least one corrugated or undulating surface.
