Cladding panel with improved fire resistance
The panel comprises a substantially rigid and planar base panel with opposed inner and outer surfaces, a first edge extending along the top of the panel and a second edge extending along the bottom of the panel when the panel is in situ on a wall. One or more facing slips are secured to the outer surface of the base panel with an adhesive that is provided in a pattern P comprising a number of spaced apart regions including a first region 6 extending adjacent to the first edge substantially along the length of the facing slip and a plurality of second regions 7 extending substantially perpendicular to the first region. The second regions of adhesive are preferably substantially evenly spaced between the side edges of the facing slips. One or more second regions preferably taper inwardly as they approach the first region of adhesive. Also claimed is a method of fabricating a panel.
