An acoustic seal and a sound proof booth comprising the same
An acoustic seal comprising: a body portion 2 and a plurality of deformable protrusions 3, the protrusions comprising a first protrusion 3a and a second protrusion 3b that are spaced from one another and extend from the body by different distances. The body portion may be planar. The protrusions may comprise fins that are: curved when in an un-deformed state; tapered in a direction extending away from the body. There may be a plurality of the first protrusions each comprising an undercut 9. The surface of the body portion opposite the fins may comprise an adhesive coating. The acoustic seal may comprise an elastomeric material, preferably silicone. A soundproof booth (100, Fig. 2) may comprise the acoustic seal; the acoustic seal providing a seal between a base of the booth 5, floor 6 and an outer panel (wall) 4 of the booth. The first protrusions may be compressed between the outer panel and the base, and the second protrusion arranged to contact the floor. The booth base 5 may be U-shaped and the seal may extend the entire periphery of the base.
