The decking kit comprises decking boards 100 comprising upper 102 and lower 104 panels with a channel 114 that extends along a longitudinal side of the board, defined by the lower panel and a channel wall 116 extending upwardly; and a joining strip 200 comprising a gutter 202, wherein the gutter walls 206 comprise a hooked portion 214 projecting outwardly; when the joining strip is located between two decking boards, the hooked portion is received over the channel walls of the boards, with a space provided between the upper panels and the gutter base 204 between the channels of the boards. The upper and lower panels may be separated by webs. The upper panel may have an outwardly projecting panel portion and a starter fixing strip with an upwardly extending wall and a hooked portion. Also claimed is a decking board and methods of manufacturing and construction.
