The apparatus comprises an inflatable bag 102 and a door receiving guide 104 attached to the inflatable bag. The guide preferably comprises a base portion 107 intermediate first and second side portions 105 to secure the apparatus to a door 10 in the guide. A friction-reducing element 106 is preferably attached to the bag on an opposite side of the bag to the guide. An air pump 110 is preferably connected to the bag via an air tube 108. The guide preferably comprises a flexible material and has a U-shaped cross-section. The side portions of the guide may be angled towards one another. The base portion may comprise a protuberant middle section such that when a force is applied to the middle section the side portions are drawn together. Also claimed is a kit of parts and a method of manipulating a door for hanging on a hinge.
