The construction stud and track system, particularly for non-loadbearing partitions, comprises a track 100 with a central track 102 with first and second planar track panels 108,110 extending perpendicularly from its first and second edges 104,106, respectively and a first engagement formation 113,114 located on a planar track panel. A stud comprises a central stud portion with first and second planar stud panels extending from its first and second edges, respectively, and with a second engagement formation located on a planar stud panel, with the first engagement formation being configured to engage a second engagement formation. The first engagement formations preferably comprise a tooth provided on each track panel and the second engagement formations preferably comprise an aperture provided on each stud panel. Track fastening formations, preferably apertures 116,118, may be provided in both the track and stud panels. The stud may comprise a telescopic portion. A lip may extend from the track panels which engage with the stud.
