Door hinge assembly
The hinge assembly, particularly for a shower door comprising a pair of door leaves, has first and second hinged members 118,132 coupled by a hinge comprising two parallel pivots 302. The hinged members are operable (e.g. by spring biasing) to retract the pivots into respective door leaf cavities 106,140 (e.g. in stiles 104,138) to align the door leaves in a closed configuration. The pivots can extend from the door leaf cavities to allow the door leaves to fold inwards/outwards to an open configuration. The pivots are connected by a hinge bar 122, the cavities and hinge bar extending substantially the whole height of door leaves incorporating the cavities. The pivots may comprise holes in a rigid hinge bar or bendable portions of a flexible hinge bar. Optionally the door leaves are connected by a pair of supplementary parallel pivots, fixed in relation to respective door leaf cavities and connected by a pivot plate.
