A cladding assembly
A cladding assembly kit having at least one cladding element 18 and a mounting arrangement including 1st and 2nd releasably securable fastener members 30,32, wherein in use the fastener members engage to clamp cladding elements to a building component. The building component may be cladding frame or lintel. The 1st fastener member may be an internally threaded nut attachable to the building component e.g. via an interlocking keyhole slot arrangement (Fig 4). The cladding elements may be brick slips with channels 29 in their edges, the 2nd fastener including a bolt with an enlarged head 36 and a circular washer or flange 34 which engages the slot 29 and the nut 30 to clamp the slips to the building component. The building component may include projections (50, Fig. 6) which engage complementary alignment recesses (52, Fig. 6) in cladding elements. The system may include L-shape corner cladding elements (20, Fig.1) and L-shape corner brackets (48, Fig.6) for retaining terminal cladding elements. A cladding assembly including a building element, a method of assembly, a fastener assembly and a building are also claimed.
