A blind including a shaft assembly, two fixing brackets and a fixing device 5 which compresses telescopically to ease installation between the brackets and which comprises: a shaft housing cover 51 with at least two elastic snap fasteners 515 and first rods or ridges 517, a press buckle 52 that penetrates through the shaft housing cover 51 that has a rod 522 protruding from one end and with a first chamber and second rods 525 on an outer section that embed with the first rods, a spring 53 inserted into the first chamber, a spring damping sleeve 54 with an interior ring groove which the spring sits in and with interior third rods 546 which embed with grooves on the press buckle, a damping ring 55 which sits around the spring damping sleeve 543, a safety buckle shaft housing 56 with snapping grooves 5651 which engage with the snap fasteners 515 and into which the spring damping sleeve, press buckle and shaft housing sit in a fourth chamber 566. It may also have a pin 57 which fixes it in position. The fixing device itself is also claimed.
