The flood protection system comprising: a frame-attachment area on a building 1 a water impermeable membrane 30, and a second frame 2. The second frame magnetically 14 couples to the frame-attachment area with the membrane between the frame and the frame attachment area. Seals between the frame-attachment area and a first side of the membrane and between the second frame and the second side of the membrane prevent water ingress. The membrane may be larger than the second frame such that it extends beyond the borders of the second frame. The membrane may be a rubber sheet. Also claimed are a kit and method of flood protection.
