Floor support system
A stackable flooring support component 100 comprising a lower support surface and an upper support surface, the component shaped such that when two identical components are stacked in a first orientation they nest to provide a first support height, and when stacked in a second angular orientation they provide a second support height. Preferably the components are made of sheet material for fire resistance, with upstanding deformable tabs 124 enabling the components to lock together. Further disclosed is a support for flooring members comprising a base component with a plurality of tabs projecting upwardly using a set of shims to space the flooring members. The support allows for installing a floor using thin pedestals for low height applications.
