Shower tray
A shower tray waste 1 includes a housing 100 to be received in an outlet of a shower tray, and a water trap 200 removably locatable within the housing. The water trap comprises a rim (202, Fig. 3) locatable within the housing, and a cup (206) and tube (204) together providing a water seal i.e. a siphon trap to inhibit odour transmission. The rim includes an upper surface with grips (208), used to rotate the water trap within the housing, and a lower surface (202a) comprising cam features (220) extending downwardly therefrom, each cam comprising a ramp extending around a portion of a circumference of the rim. The rim also includes a compressible seal (203) for forming a seal between the water trap and the housing. The housing comprises complementary cam feature (120, Fig. 8) arranged to interact with the cam features of the water trap to push the water trap upwards when the water trap is rotated; the wedge shaped ramps engaging to provide an upward force when the trap is rotated, which aids trap removal (for cleaning, unblocking etc.) which may otherwise be inhibited by the seal swelling/degrading or from deposit accumulation.
