A shower system 1 for use with a drain 22 and a mixer shower 2 having a valve 4 for mixing water from hot 6 and cold 8 water lines. First and second valves 40, 42 are operatively connected between the mixer shower and the hot and cold water lines, respectively. The first and second valves are configured to control the flow of water to the mixer shower from the hot and cold water lines. A pump 24 is configured to pump water provided by the mixer shower via the drain. A current sensor 34 measures an electrical current of the pump. A control system 50 is provided in communication with the first and second valves, the pump, and the current sensor. The control system is configured to control the first and second valves based on the electrical current measured by the current sensor.
