Composite floor construction
A prefabricated panel 3 comprising two spaced apart elongate side members 3a of a first material and a main concrete panel body therebetween, wherein a lower surface of the panel includes at least one concrete rib 3f extending from one side member to the other, and wherein at least one attachment member 3b is fixed to each of the side members and extends into the main panel body. Preferably the side members are formed of metal and the panel comprises reinforcing members. Further disclosed is a composite floor comprising the panel, a method of constructing a floor, and a composite floor with a layer of concrete cast in-situ over at least one prefabricated panel.
