A lanyard connector 110 includes an anchor connection aperture 111, wherein the aperture is elongate along a strain absorbing axis 117 through proximal and distal ends (113, 115) of the lanyard connector. The anchor connection aperture includes an anchor bolt accommodation portion 119 and a curved frail web 118, 120, 122 adjacent to the anchor bolt accommodation portion 119 and across the strain absorbing axis 117. The frail web 120 is orientated with an apex thereof towards the anchor bolt accommodation portion.
