Condensation control
The apparatus comprises an enclosed space containing water vapour due to the presence of people or animals (e.g., birds) and/or domestic, group or industrial activities, and an area within an external wall or window that is cooler than any other part of the wall or window such that condensation preferentially occurs there. Condensate formed on or adjacent the cooler area is collected and drained externally. An object may be positioned to insulate part of the external wall from warmth elsewhere in the space. The cooler area may be a window or part thereof (e.g., a pane 25 or part of a window structure), or a separate panel within the wall. Condensate may be collected by a channel 35 below the cooler area and drained to an external discharge port 32 by one or more ducts 43. Also claimed is a method wherein water vapour may mix by natural or forced convection currents 40,42.
