Temporary fence panel coupler
A fence panel coupler includes a first coupling member 1a having first 2 and second 4 connector portions, each having an opening 18, 22 for receiving first 74 and second 76 fence posts. A second coupling member includes third 2 and fourth 4 connector portions, also with openings for receiving the first and second fence posts. There are also integral connectors 60 that connect the first and second coupling members together in a closed arrangement. The first and second coupling members are applied to the fence posts in an insertion direction and moved together or may be slid along the posts to a closed configuration in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction. The connector portions cooperate to surround the fence posts and prevent removal of the coupler from the fence posts. The coupling members may be C shaped with a flexible arm and may snap fit to the posts. The coupling members may be connected by a bridge 6 and there may be interlocking elements on the bridge. A fence panel coupling system with a release tool, and a method of coupling fence panels is also disclosed.
